How do you define paradise? Crack open that dusty dictionary you’ve been using as a doorstop, and it’ll say something like: paradise is an idyllic place of contentment.
Luckily for us, we live and work as contractors in Paradise (with a capital P)! And we sure are happy to be part of a family business in this welcoming little mountain town. In fact, we’re going to count down the top five reasons we love being a construction company based in Paradise, California.
5. Community events. Community is the core of what we build at Trilogy, and we love supporting fundraisers. It does our hearts good to see our town show up for events like the Paradise Cook-off, which raised much-needed funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Valley.
4. Being part of the Valley Contractors Exchange. We’re thrilled to belong to this unique non-profit, member-run organization for contractors in Paradise and beyond. Not only does the Valley Contractors Exchange connect responsible contractors and trades, but it also provides social, business, and educational opportunities for members.
3. Canine co-workers. Paradise’s heavenly mix of laid-back locals is welcoming to our construction crew (including the 4-legged kind), allowing us to bring our favorite Fido Ruger to job sites. We’re so glad we can take our dog to work!

It’s often said life in Paradise is sweet, but on March 25th, 2023, it was downright delicious. Our beautiful mountain town held The Paradise Cook-off, which featured master and amateur chefs sharing their skills in a four-course competition.
The Paradise Veterans Hall hosted this delectable sold-out event by presenting sponsors Sandy and Vic Makau. Trilogy joined more than 25 local business sponsors and over 300 ticket-holders to help raise funds to re-open the Paradise Teen Center off of Skyway this coming summer, which has been closed since the Camp Fire in 2018. This essential community hub will provide summer services for our younger youth at a summer camp at Paradise Ridge Elementary School, among other much-needed resources for teens.
Anticipation ran high as the culinary competitors entered their dishes in the designated categories of appetizers, side dishes, entrees/BBQ, and desserts. Three local judges were on hand to select the winners of each category, along with the coveted Golden Spoon award, and the Best Decorated Station. Guests cast their own votes for the People’s Choice Award. Coyote House band shared their special flavor of folk and Americana tunes at the event, and the Paradise Rotary kept the good times flowing by hosting the bar with gusto. A lucky winner took home the raffle prize, but really all attendees were winners as they sampled 16 different dishes from 16 chefs.
The Paradise community is always at the heart of what we build at Trilogy, so our team is committed to supporting these kinds of events for a good cause. We were honored to be a sponsor for the Kid’s Choice.
